Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the freight brokerage industry with a transferable Book of Business.
- Proficient in freight brokerage operations, with a focus on obtaining shipping quotes, booking freight services, and monitoring shipments.
- Familiarity with logistics software, customer relationship management software, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with carriers and clients globally.
- Proven sales skills to acquire new clients and carriers and close shipping deals.
- Ability to work with existing Book of Business and enhance client relationships.
Job Duties:
- Obtain shipping quotes from carriers and communicate them to clients.
- Book freight services through carriers for clients, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery.
- Monitor shipment progress to guarantee timely and undamaged delivery of goods.
- Update customer management software to maintain accurate client records.
- Utilize negotiation skills to secure competitive quotes for customers.
