Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Freight Broker to join their team. In this role, the broker will work directly with clients, managing accounts and facilitating seamless freight operations. Their experience and current relationships across the country will be key to success, enabling them to build their portfolio and drive the growth of the business. Administrative support will be provided, allowing the broker to focus on fostering strong client relationships and closing deals. We are offering 1099 commissions, or a base plus commissions!
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage strong, long-term relationships with current and new accounts across the country.
Source and negotiate freight contracts, ensuring the best rates, service levels, and delivery timelines for clients.
Coordinate with carriers and customers to facilitate smooth, efficient shipments.
Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues or concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and technology to offer clients the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
Meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a freight broker with established relationships across the U.S.
Proven track record of managing a book of business and developing new client relationships.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of freight industry trends, rates, and regulations.
Experience with logistics software and tools is preferred but not required.
